The long-awaited dream of a gym at Bordwell Park will finally become a reality. The recent groundbreaking and naming ceremony drew community members, leaders, and supporters together for a celebration filled with pride and anticipation. The gymnasium will be named in honor of long time Riverside resident and community activist Dell Roberts.

The new facility stands as a testament to collaboration and perseverance of the many supporters involved. The project was brought to life through the dedication of community members, the Bordwell Park Advisory Board, the MLK Club, local leaders, and countless individuals who shared the belief in what this gym can mean for the neighborhood.

The Dell Roberts Gym represents more than just a building—it is a symbol of opportunity, growth, and unity. Community members expressed excitement about the doors it will open for youth, families, and future generations.
