The Home of Neighborly Service lived up to its name recently hosting an event providing clothing, toys and other services for children and families in the community.

The Community Family Funday was an event that was needed during these difficult times, and was welcomed by all those in attendance. The Family Funday served approximately 275 children and adults and featured a number of activities including prizes, giveaways, music, vendor booths, faces painting, arts and crafts and food free to all who attended. The event also offered on site COVID vaccines.

The music was provided by DJ D-Dizzle, with Sumthin 4 Ur Mouth providing the food. The kids were treated to bike giveaways along with helmets, scooters, skateboards and a host of other prizes.

With giveaways and prizes taking place every 15 minutes, the adults in attendance were able to get in on the fun as well. The adults received comforters, pillow top mattress covers and other household items. Families were able to choose new clothing, shoes and pajamas.

The event was sponsored by Arrowhead United Way, Santa Claus Incorporated and San Bernardino Elks Lodge # 836
