The Arrowhead United Way recently partnered with a number of community organizations to host its inaugural turkey giveaway, providing a turkey and a dinner box to ensure families in need had a nice Thanksgiving. Volunteers donated their time to pass out turkeys and supplies to needy families. By the end of the turkey giveaway an estimated 2400 families were provided with a Thanksgiving meal. Community organizations joining the Arrowhead United Way included Inland Empire Rebound, The Children’s Fund, Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., San Bernardino Police Department, San Bernardino County Probation, San Bernardino Public Defenders Office, San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and several other grassroots organizations. Gwen Rodgers, Arrowhead United Way CEO (fifth from left), is shown with support during the turkey giveaway.

Volunteers are also shown at the ready to load turkeys and dinner boxes into the cars as they drive up to receive assistance.
