SGV-NCNW Hosts Young Legends STEM Event
The San Gabriel Valley National Council of Negro Women (SGV-NCNW) have ended the year on a high note with an impactful Young Legends STEM event, led by students of California Baptist University’s National Society of Black Engineers (CBU NSBE).
The event brought together young minds eager to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on activities. Participants learned basic coding, built circuits, and designed creative “Dream Spaces,” all under the guidance of the highly skilled and dedicated CBU NSBE team. The students’ enthusiasm and engagement were palpable as they discovered the exciting possibilities within STEM fields.
“This event exemplifies SGV-NCNW’s rich history of investing in our youth and building on the legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune,” said SGV-NCNW President Marie Thermidor. “Dr. Bethune believed education was the key to empowerment, and we are proud to carry that mission forward.
